Chinese Kudzu has been used in China since at least 200 BC to reduce the abuse of alcohol. In 1993- scientists at Harvard discovered that daidzin- an active ingredient- helped golden Syrian hamsters reduce their preference for alcohol over water. Chinese Kudzu contains daidzein which blocks alcohol metabolism in the liver. St John’s Wort contains hypercin and is included for its anti depressant properties to help improve the disposition of the individual trying to break their addiction to alcohol. Alfalfa is added for extra detoxification- cleansing and trace minerals. Consider adding LIV Guard which contains Milk Thistle extract- as additional help in liver recovery.
